| | UUID on PC and bill of delivery (incl Excel sheet) |
High cost reduction potential: rollout optimization |
What we do:
- We print the UUID on the power rating plate of the PC, on the delivery note and on package label of the box.
- We make an Excel sheet available listing all UUIDs assigned to the serial numbers of the PCs.
Your benefits:
- The systems can be forwarded systematically to their destination point during the delivery phase. The UUID is immediately available without unpacking and searching.
- The installation, the maintenance (service and support management) as well as the administration of the hardware equipment is vastly simplified.
- Already at the delivery stage the company has all information relating to the hardware about to be put into operation.
The rollout is an issue which is often dismissed by companies. In order to direct the right PC to the right location you can use the UUID. The UUID (Universal Unique IDentifier) is a 128-bit number identifying a unit worldwide. It is burned-in on a chip and cannot be changed, thereby making it a unique serial number for each PC. The search for this number - that means the unpacking of the PC, searching through copious amounts of additional literature and instructions - is only manageable for the single user with just one PC. However, for customers ordering in large quantities, the situation is quite different, maintenance and administration issues aside! And it is right here that time and money could be saved in a simple way.
