The product SNMP-Subagent openUTM (BS2000/OSD) is offered by Fujitsu Siemens Computers to customers wanting to manage the BS2000 transaction monitor openUTM and their own applications, which run on top. The short name of the product is SSA-OUTM-BS2. This product is an add-on to the SNMP Basic Agent in BS2000, providing a suitable subagent for controlling and monitoring transaction applications.
In combination with the SNMP-Basic-Agent, the SNMP subagent for openUTM in BS2000 serves to connect BS2000/OSD systems directly to a central management system for heterogeneous networks on the basis of the standard protocol SNMP. It lets customers with large multi-vendor networks comprising heterogeneous systems use SNMP for monitoring and control of the BS2000/OSD systems in the network from a central management platform (control center). In combination with the basic product SNMP-Basic-Agent BS2000 and other subagents, it provides comprehensive management functions, from traditional network management through system and applications management to the management of middleware, specifically the OLTP system openUTM. |
