| The FibreCAT SX 100 is the enterprise model of the FibreCAT SX Family. The FibreCAT SX offers twice as much: First of all nearly more than double the expansion volume. Thus it can support up to 108 hard drives in 9 shelves and offers a storage capacity of up to 108 TB. Secondly, the FibreCAT SX 100 is twice as fast as the FibreCAT SX80 |
| due to its improved controller technology. Thirdly it offers the possibility of using 4 ports per controller, as opposed to the 2 previously offered. Thanks to this, 4 servers instead of 2 can now be directly and redundantly connected to the machine. Furthermore, the FibreCAT SX100 now supports 244 Snapshots and is equipped for further enterprise functionalities such as replication (replication ready). As with all models in the FibreCAT SX family, the FibreCAT SX100 comes with market leading technology such as FibreCache and FibreCap as standard. FibreCache uses dual controller appliances to achieve high cache performance. The machine is based on the current 4Gb/s FibreChannel technology. The machine can be equipped with SATA II and SAS hard drives, combined into one shelf. Furthermore the system is very reliable, as all important components (RAID controller, fan, power supply, and disks) are supported redundantly and can be exchanged over the length of operation. RAID levels 0, 1, 3, 5, 1/0, 5/0 and 6 are all integrated into the machine, which can be connected to up to 48 servers. |
