Fujitsu Siemens Computers demonstrates Business Critical Computing and Mobility for UK manufacturers aboard the SiemensExplorer
- Technology highlights include high performance CELSIUS workstations, powerful PRIMERGY servers and new SCENIC desktop PCs
Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the leading European vendor of secure Business Critical Computing and Mobility solutions, is demonstrating its comprehensive range of desktop PCs, notebooks, handheld devices, workstations and servers on board the SiemensExplorer, a unique new train-based showcase for manufacturers. The SiemensExplorer will visit eight major UK cities during April and May, and Fujitsu Siemens Computers will provide UK manufacturers with an insight into how the latest PC, handheld and server devices - offering the highest standards of reliability and performance - can support their drive for increased efficiencies and productivity.
The SiemensExplorer will be unveiled by Patricia Hewitt, the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, in London on April 24 and will feature the latest automation, drives, switching and installation technology from Siemens Automation. The train is part of a major European initiative, which will bring the latest manufacturing technology and solutions to some 6,000 key engineers, industrialists and opinion-formers across the UK. Fujitsu Siemens Computers will demonstrate its new SCENIC S2 desktop PCs, LIFEBOOK notebooks, PRIMERGY Intel-based servers and CELSIUS workstations.
“We’re delighted to showcase our Business Critical Computing and Mobility solutions on the SiemensExplorer, and are confident that UK manufacturers visiting the train will appreciate the benefits of PCs and servers that offer the highest standards of security, reliability and performance. With best-in-class products such as our PRIMERGY Intel-based servers, SCENIC desktop PCs and the high performance CELSIUS workstations, Fujitsu Siemens Computers ideally complements Siemens Automation’s offerings for the manufacturing sector, and we look forward to showing how UK manufacturers can power this new information age during this important exhibition across the UK and Europe.”
Fujitsu Siemens Computers products will be on show in the CyberCafé section of the custom-built, 300 metres-long train. The SiemensExplorer carries over 420 square metres of demonstration space and is expected to be visited by some 6,000 key UK engineers, industrialists and opinion formers during the UK leg of its international tour. The train is divided into different industrial areas, each demonstrating Siemens Automation and Drives' total solutions for the process, engineering and manufacturing, totally-integrated automation, machine building and building infrastructure and power industries.
