Configuration with redundant data paths and mirroring of data

| MultiPath supports the use of redundant FC connections between a server and external disk subsystem. If a FC connection, hub or host bus adapter fails, data traffic is maintained over one of the redundant connections. DuplexWrite mirrors all write jobs to two disk subsystems. As a result, both subsystems contain identical data. If a fault occurs, DuplexWrite deactivates data mirroring – all applications keep on running without disruption – and puts the faulty disk in a defined passive state. |
