Question: What should customers do?
Answer: Customers should first check to see if their model is impacted. If so, they should stop using the notebook on batteriy power immediately, and operate their notebook with the AC power adapter only. If their model is not impacted, they can continue to use their notebook on battery power.
Question: What will this cost the customers?
Answer: We will provide customers a replacement battery and take back the defective battery free of charge.
Question: How long will it take to get the replacement battery?
Answer: Depending on customer location this should take approximately a week.
Question: Can customers go to a retail store for a replacement battery?
Answer: Batteries are available via the web exchange program.
Question: Should the potentially defective battery be sent back to Fujitsu Siemens Computers?
Answer: Yes, our goal is to take back as many as possible of the batteries impacted by the exchange program.
