High performance
CentricStor stores the highly compressed content of virtual tapes on magnetic tape cartridges. These are stored in a real archive downstream. We use high-end devices such as Magstar® drives or the new LTO Ultrium technology, which offer performance
benefits for all servers and applications.
The connected tapes and drives handle archive management with extreme efficiency, thereby making optimal use of capacity. This reduces procurement costs, as far fewer drives and magnetic tape cartridges are needed than before.
