| | What is Dynamic IT for Microsoft? |
Dynamic IT for Microsoft combines the capabilities of server- and storage- resource management with an application and systems management software to a concept, which significantly lowers the expenditure and costs for the operation of Microsoft-based environments. |
 |
Based on PRIMERGY BladeFrame, whose intelligent resource management (PAN Manager) is linked to the Microsoft System Center Operations Manager, a fundamentally new operating concept is achieved: all system resources are virtualized and can be made available to the applications and services as they are needed. |
| |
How the solution works | |
As a complement to the application-oriented System Center Operations Manager, PRIMERGY BladeFrame is primarily hardware- oriented and controls virtualization and resource allocation. Within Dynamic IT for Microsoft all the components are integrated with each other: When, for example, the System Center Operations Manager notices that certain applications require more (or less) computing power, PRIMERGY BladeFrame is notified automatically and immediately initiates appropriate changes to resource allocation – without the need for any manual intervention. As a result, optimum assignment of resources can be ensured and ideal adjustment to agreed service levels can be achieved. The benefit is a considerable increase in infrastructure utilization and optimized use of the capital invested. |
