Understanding our customers’ needs is central to successful innovation. The Technology Office works closely with them to identify new market trends and requirements. These interactions are mostly informal, taking place at conferences, user groups and analyst events.
The Innovation Office is working in collaboration with an online community that will be used to collect feedback and thoughts on products and services from existing and potential customers. This information will then be used as inspiration for new innovations and design, as well as offering market insight before a product is launched.
Feedback is also gathered by business units during the development phase. The consumer business has a very active dialogue with customers through the customer forum on our website. Anyone can join to provide comment, ask questions and discuss products. Moderators feed back any useful ideas and suggestions to the business areas.
The services area takes this one stop further, organizing one- or two-day customer innovation workshops where it presents ideas to customers for open discussion. Well-known or larger customers are consulted, and services are developed from this joint approach.
