Workplace flexibility and awareness of flexible working arrangements is an important driving force in the success of the Fujitsu Siemens business, we therefore aim to foster flexibility in several ways. For example employees are provided with the equipment they need to work on their own, across our office sites, at home or even on the move. We also promote flexible working concepts like desk sharing across our sites together with other flexible working models relating to time and scheduling. Be it after maternity leave or for studies, where possible we will discuss with our employees what suits their situation as well as the business requirements. We are then able to come up with agreed solutions to fulfill both needs.
Ultimately for Fujitsu Siemens flexibility means addressing situations as they arise. Rather than setting up schemes which direct our people in one direction, we aim to find tailored solutions for the individual. We seek to empower our employees to actively seek out those opportunities and encourage managers to be more aware of the benefits flexible working can offer with regard to performance and motivation.
